The May Bacon Hicks Memorial Library is an extension of classroom learning at Evangeline Booth College. The library has over 40,000 items in the collection. Through this collection and the professional staff, the cadets receive assistance in research, writing, and studying.
Shannon Gibson, the Librarian, has a B.A. in English and a Master’s in Library Science. She has over 15 years of library experience ranging from a newspaper research center, freelance research at The National Archives, and academic librarianship. Delissa Hightower, the Library Assistant, has accomplished many classes in history and research. She has 11 years of library experience from the public library setting to a large state university.
The library provides services to the campus, which include: Interlibrary Loan, research assistance, and proofreading. The facility has 3 study rooms, 4 computers, printers, quiet study areas, and group study areas. We also offer Kindles and eBooks for check out.
