TO WORK WITH PASSION – Having an excitement and anticipation about what we do, always linking
my work to our mission, and seeking to support and encourage my co-workers and clients. Because
I believe in the mission, I look for opportunities to go the extra mile to serve others, doing my best,
and displaying an integrity that is consistent with an organization whose mission begins with “To
preach the gospel of Jesus Christ”.

TO WORK WITH COMPASSION – Showing a love of neighbor and seeing the face and grace of
Christ at work in my teammates and clients which flows from Matthew 25:36 – 40: “For I was hungry
and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked
and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me. Then the righteous will
answer him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you
ill or in prison, and visit you?” And the king will say to them in reply, “I say to you, whatever you did
for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”

TO WORK WITH AN UPLIFTING SPIRIT – Through my example, my integrity, my positivity – I focus
on others and their potential, and I encourage others to remain strong and steadfast in staying true
to our mission. Love of God and love of neighbor is core to what I do. I give HOPE to others!

TO WORK WITH BRAVERY – Not the absence of fear but acting in spite of fear! Taking a stand for
doing the right thing, living a life of dignity and respect for others, even if they are different than me.
I am a good steward with how I spend my time. I am productive in my job and do my best to support
the mission of the Salvation Army and Evangeline Booth College. My behavior is consistent with
our Christ-centered mission.

TO WORK TO BE TRUSTWORTHY – Trust means striving to have each other’s best interests at
heart. Trust frees me to apply my God-given talents for the benefit of others without fear or
reservation. Trust means calling out and striving to change behavior which does not support a
mission-driven, trust-filled environment. I will strive for the ideal in Philippians 4:8 – “Whatever is
true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is
admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
