The Evangeline Booth College Family Life Center is in many ways the heart of campus.
Children and Families light up the campus as we minister to and care for a large number of children at various ages and stages.
The EBC Child Care center is open from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM on ministry opportunity filled Wednesdays and on Saturdays and Sundays as the EBC schedule dictates. We serve children from birth to 12 years of age functioning at a very high level of family centered care. We are continually developing our creative Christian based curriculum, and are constantly providing our qualified staff with ongoing opportunities for training and development. We strive to support parents and healthy families so that as our children grow in the grace of the Lord they will become a part of their parent’s ministry making the most of each day to pour out all that they have as a family.
The EBC Teen Center operates from 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM for kids 12-13 years of age, from 3:00 PM – 8:30 PM for kids 14-18 years of age and ‘as needed’ on Saturdays and Sundays. The center strives to provide teenagers on campus with a safe and fun place just for them. Our teen center staff works to combine recreational and educational opportunities for our kids with a spiritual emphasis, encouraging, challenging and guiding our teens in all aspects of life on campus.
School aged children at the Evangeline Booth College attend two schools in the Atlanta area, Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy, a mainstream private k-12 school and The Bedford School, a private k-8 school specializing in educating children with learning differences and challenges. Many of our children on campus are involved in extracurricular activities including Football, Soccer, Softball, Baseball, Cheerleading and even a Robotics Club. They are also involved in school related arts programs including Band, Chorus, and Drama. Involvement in these programs provides campus children a sense of normalcy in an extraordinary environment. They help a great deal with acclimation and adjustment to campus living, and they encourage parental involvement in the school setting.
Our school aged children are also involved in worship, character building, and music/creative arts programming at the Atlanta Temple Corps. The children participate in Junior Soldiers, Corps Cadets, Girl Guards, Sunbeams, and Adventure Corps, as well as music and creative arts centered electives. We have a positive and mutually beneficial relationship with the Atlanta Temple Corps, and together we strive to guide and encourage our children in their spiritual and character development.
Our children and families come to the Evangeline Booth College from a wide range of backgrounds. Our goal is to provide Christ-centered care and nurturing to each and every one.
